  SAVE YOUR PORNO MONEY The Bayfront Ampitheater in Miami, Florida, was the scene of a massive counterfeit-money bust on Aug. 10 when local police and Federal agents seized well over a thousand phony $100 bills. Whos face was on each bill? Perry Farrell's. The fake dough was the propety of Porno for Pyros. Farrell used it as a stage prop on the band's latest tour, throwing handfuls into the audience during the performance on the pyros tune "Meija". Apperently, one fan tried to pass his bil off as legal tender in a Denny's restaurant in Tampa after seeing the show the night before. He was caught only after a Denny's employee accepted the C-note with Farrell's beaming mug prited on both sides. The next night, the band was held in police cutody at the ampitheater for several hours ahile the Treasury agents counted and confiscated the bad cash. According to the band's manager, Ted Gardner, "perry is crushed. He had his own secret supply of Porno money and was hopiing to dine out at Denny's for the next ten years on it." For the rest of the tour, Farrell resorted to divvying out hundereds of real American dollar bills each night.

• "I just started taking a class called "Socyology of Women". When to my delight I found out that one of my text books is about Denny's Waitresses. The book is titled, "Dishing It Out: Power and Resistance among Waitressesin a New Jersey Resaurant". The teacher said in the first class that no one knew what resaurant/diner it was. But I noticed that in the intro. the Author (Greta Foff Paules) said that it used to be a doughnut shop in the 50's. And as we all know Denny's started out being Danny's Doughnut Hut. The book also give an accurate account of the late night crowd at Denny's, explaining the hell that waitresses have to deal with. I just thought you's like to know that I have finally acoplished a dream which was to study Denny's in college. Woo Hoo, yay me."

• "i cant believe denny's actually gave you thirty bucks! i've work for them a year and three months and all i received was a net loss of 10 dollars a week! ( they lowered their insurance suppliment to my health plan by seven dollars and the insurance went up three dollars this year. ) raises are given to managers every march now. (another cost savings for them..had to pay off that 45 million last year to the "plaintiffs") i got screwed on my raise because it was based on my length of service at the time of the review .( only there 1/3 of a year so i got 1/3 of my raise= 347 $ out of 1040 $ my review said i "rated" at. oh well...boo-hoo. i worked for them 6 years in the 80's. .funny thing is it is the only restaurant i ever ENJOYED working at! they are in financial dissaray at the current time. maybe if they started SPENDING some money they would make some instead of making their employees wonder why in the hell they work there!! you are correct when you find denny's enjoyable. it really is. i just wish they would invest some $$ in our unit so we can better serve our guests the way we are capable of . OUR ( mine and staff) biggest wish is replacement wall paper for the missing pieces and a new shake machine so we can make more than one shake at a time!!!!!!! ( a full management staff would be nice too!!!!) but we at denny's in PEORIA will still do the best with the tools they allow us to have!! FOR SOME INSIDE TRADING INFO.... buy denny's stock now!! it's at rock bottom and i believe they are positioning themselves to SELL!! best of luck in your "project" . playing in peoria, all our love..."

• "I have a very old Denny's menu with an insert from the FIRST EVER grand slam baseball card promotion. Well, maybe not the first ever, but it was the first time I'd heard of it. I remember having to explain it to all our customers, that they could only get the baseball card if they ordered these special items... and it made a few of them upset, because they didn't particularly want the hamdinger or the Bases Loaded Slam. • "i have read through some of the letters that people have written about dennys. now i am sure that every restraunt chain has its popular areas as well as its unpopular dennys has made the eastern end of pennsylvania one of its unpopular areas.i worked at dennys for about 6 years in the early 90s and what was a great place to work in 1990 made its employees stressed out by the beginning of 1996,they did a poor job of getting rid of people who would loiter and fistfight and sell drugs in thier parking lots and this drove away their good customers(and good tipping ones) another problem was it seemed the "higher up" personell came down hard on the store managers when something went wrong then the store managers came down on the employees because of this now what you have is stressed out servers serving you and what they feel in their hearts is they hope they can find new jobs soon .when dennys addresses these problems rather then finding out who to blame then they will become a great restraunt again like they had been back in the 70s"
